How To Get Better In Photography?

Getting better in anything you want really feels good, isn’t it? Having innate skills in something could really be a good foundation, however, if you don’t get to the end of the rope, then you might think of quitting. It only means that innate skills are not enough for you to get better in something just like in photography. Do you have that thing in taking good pictures? Well, if you do, that’s good! However, are you up to for a photography contest and bring home the bacon? Well, you might be able to or you might not be able to win any picture contest, and end up unnoticed at all.

Getting better in photography is one of the most basic questions of beginners. Indeed, a basic question that can be answered   by basic things. T o start with, getting better in photography is about the right attitude. You can’t expect to win a photo contest if you are too proud of yourself and completely rely to your innate skills. As a beginner, be humble enough to learn things even the basic ones. Don’t keep bragging that you can do this and that but end up nothing at all. Even if you chose to join a local picture contest, it doesn’t mean that you can just slack off and think it’s so easy. You always have to consider each photo contest as the BIG THING and not just one of your practice lessons. Only if you do that, you will be able to see things clearly and find out your strengths and weaknesses. A picture contest is indeed a very good challenge in testing your skills so it is just reasonable to give your best shot every time for an honest criticism, right?

Aside from having the right attitude for you win a photography contest, you also need to find your learning manual which doesn’t really mean just a book but it should also include people, experiences, and samples. Just like a manual that guides you, people, experiences and samples could do the same. Consider those people who have won a photography contest and check how they made it. Learn from them. You also have to practice often to gain more experience. As they always say that life’s experiences are the best teacher. Then samples are good references; look for those entries that won a photo contest and see the difference.

Therefore it is clear that innate skills are not enough for you to be a successful photographer, it’s all about attitude, learning, and practice.
